Fear Slows Your Manifesting

Here is a simple process to release the fear and get back on track

When Manifestation Feels Stuck: A Process for Releasing Resistance

It can be deeply disheartening when your manifestation goals seem stalled. Delays feel discouraging. Impatience builds. And doubt begins to whisper: “What if it never happens?”

But your desire exists for a reason. Your intuition is guiding you toward meaningful change. Often, however, the ego responds with unconscious fear, generating resistance and creating an energetic barrier between you and what you’re calling in.

This is why inner work is essential. To manifest with ease, you must align with your soul’s truth. Below is a powerful written process designed to help you uncover the hidden fears that may be blocking your ability to receive. By bringing these unconscious beliefs into conscious awareness, you reclaim your agency and open the pathway for aligned manifestation.

Why Resistance Makes Sense

When we want something, we often believe having it will make us feel better, more free, more loved, more secure. But the nervous system doesn’t just chase pleasure; it prioritizes safety. And sometimes, what we want threatens the fragile balance we’ve built to survive. That’s where resistance lives.

The “worst thing” prompt reveals this beautifully. It shows us that resistance isn’t sabotage, it’s strategy. A part of you believes that having what you want will come at a cost. And so, you tolerate. You stay. You shrink. Not because you’re weak, but because you’re wise.

Examples of emotional contracts:

  • You tolerate the draining job… because the worst thing would be losing financial security.
  • You tolerate the one-sided friendship… because the worst thing would be gossip or rejection if you walked away.
  • You tolerate the difficult relationship… because the worst thing would be causing discomfort for the kids.
  • You tolerate mum’s guilt trips… because the worst thing would be detaching and changing the dance, risking rupture.
  • You walk on eggshells… because the worst thing would be being misunderstood, unloved, or alone.

These are emotional contracts. They keep you liked, needed, in control. But they also keep you stuck.

The Practice: Revealing and Releasing Fear

Instructions:
Grab a pen and paper, this process is most effective when done in your own handwriting. The physical act of writing helps activate emotional truth and bypass mental filters.

Start with the prompt:

“The worst thing about having what I want is…”

Then name the thing you’re trying to manifest.
Complete the sentence with:

“…because I have a deep fear that…”

Examples:

  • “The worst thing about easily receiving money is… because I have a deep fear that I will have to work hard for it.”
  • “The worst thing about easily receiving money is… because I have a deep fear that it will be taken from me.”
  • “The worst thing about easily receiving money is… because I have a deep fear that I can’t have more than my mum.”

You may be surprised by what emerges. The unconscious mind often holds beliefs that contradict your conscious desires. For example, if you believe your worth is tied to hard work, you may unconsciously block easeful receiving, creating energetic resistance to financial flow.

Reframing the “Worst Thing” Prompt

Try layering this variation into your written process:

“The worst thing about having what I want is… because I fear the consequences of change.”

Let the fear speak. Let it name the cost. Then ask:

  • Is this fear still true?
  • Is it mine to carry?

This is how you begin to release resistance, not by forcing desire, but by honouring the part of you that’s been protecting your peace.

Tips for the Practice

  • Write quickly and without censorship.
  • Let the words flow, don’t overthink or edit.
  • Aim for at least 10 statements to fully explore the landscape of your resistance.
  • Once complete, release the energy by burning the paper or tearing it into small pieces.
  • As you do, visualise the fears dissolving. Feel the lightness in your body.
  • You no longer need to carry what was never yours to hold.
