Unlike counselling, which often focuses on managing emotions through talk therapy, coaching takes a forward-looking approach. It identifies what you truly want in life and addresses the obstacles standing in your way. Through proven methods, coaching helps clear these blocks, enabling you to create a fulfilling and balanced life with ease. Instead of being held back by fear, anxiety, or exhaustion, you’ll gain clarity, feel empowered, and move towards your goals with renewed energy and purpose.

I bring a wealth of experience to coaching, shaped by years as a Master Coach and NLP trainer, working with wellness professionals—including Doctors, Chiropractors, Myotherapists, Kinesiologists, Teachers, and Healers—to integrate coaching into their practices. My Perspective: How Coaching Works

Coaching isn’t about giving advice—it’s about guiding you to uncover the answers that are already within. It’s about identifying what’s holding you back, clearing limiting beliefs, and stepping into clarity, confidence, and action.

We are born with a clear mind, free from doubt, limitation, or labels. But as we grow, our caregivers imprint identities upon us. Whether true or false, we accept them as reality. Over time, the world builds upon this foundation, shaping our values—what we believe is important and what we strive for. But what happens when who we think we are clashes with what we value? …Self-worth plummets.

For example, if you were labelled as “dumb” in school but deeply value intelligence, an internal conflict forms. You strive to be smart, but an old imprint convinces you that you’re not. This clash creates emotional distress, reinforcing patterns of doubt and limitation.

And this isn’t just something that affects our thoughts—it shapes our entire reality.

You might hesitate to speak up in meetings, second-guess decisions, or feel anxious when trying to learn something new. The imprint isn’t just an old belief—it actively dictates how you navigate the world.

Each Session’s Framework

Here’s the general flow:

  • What is the problem? Identifying the challenge you’re currently facing.

  • How is that problem impacting you? Exploring its effects on your thoughts, emotions, and decisions.

  • What would you like to experience instead? Defining your ideal outcome and envisioning the transformation you desire.

  • Where in your life would this make the biggest difference? Highlighting the areas where change will have the most significant impact.

  • After today’s session, how will you know you’ve achieved it? Setting tangible markers of progress and success.

     

    This journey is about more than solving problems—it’s about gaining clarity on what you truly want, removing obstacles, and stepping confidently into a life of fulfilment, purpose, and authenticity.

Between Sessions: Notice Emotional Triggers

As part of your coaching journey, it’s essential to become self-aware and attuned to your emotional triggers. These moments hold valuable insights—they arise for a reason and represent opportunities to work through unresolved patterns.

When you set goals to be emotionally secure, the universe often highlights what stands in your way, offering a chance to address these blocks. Emotional triggers are not roadblocks—they are guiding lights, showing you where transformation is possible.

What Are Emotional Triggers?

Emotional triggers are powerful, instinctual responses to unresolved issues. They often stem from childhood needs for approval, belonging, and self-worth. Anything that feels like a threat to these needs can provoke strong reactions, such as fear of judgment, shame, guilt, or anxiety. These triggers illuminate where you’ve unknowingly handed over your power—and now it’s time to reclaim it.

You may recognise these triggers as moments of heightened emotion, when someone says or does something (or doesn’t), and you feel an internal rush. On one side, your unconscious mind pulls you toward old, familiar patterns of compliance or suppression learned in childhood. On the other side, your desire to lead a self-directed, authentic life emerges.

The Hidden Questions Behind Triggers

Limiting emotions can be thought of as questions your body is asking to escape confusion or discomfort:

  • Shame: “What must I do to earn acceptance or praise?”
  • Guilt: “How can I make this right to restore balance?”
  • Judgment: “What do I have to change about myself to be right by you?”
  • Fear: “What do I need to do for you to see me as too valuable to harm?”
  • Anger: “What must I surrender for you to respect my boundaries?”

While these emotions may feel overwhelming, they reveal critical areas where you can step into your autonomy and rewrite old patterns.

Between Sessions: Nurture Your Well-Being

Between coaching sessions, it’s essential to tend to your well-being and be intentional about creating space for self-care. When we make changes at the unconscious level, it’s important to reassure the logical mind that progress is happening. You’re no longer a backseat passenger in life—you’re in the driver’s seat, steering yourself toward the life you want to create.

Yes, self-care can feel challenging at times. It’s often easier to distract yourself with a busy to-do list, but pausing to reset is what truly recharges you. I keep a list on my phone for those moments when life pivots and I need space to refocus and realign.

Self Play aka Self Care List

If you plan to take some time, make it playful and fun. Savour each moment. Here are some self-care ideas to inspire you:

  • Indulge in a massage: Treat yourself to a professional massage or use a massage tool at home.
  • Go out for coffee or tea: Take a relaxing break at your Favorite café or tea spot.
  • Grab takeaway and have a picnic: Savor a meal outdoors while soaking in nature’s peaceful atmosphere.
  • Dive into a good book or audiobook: Escape into another world with an engaging story.
  • Listen to calming music: Play soothing tunes to help you relax and unwind.
  • Express yourself through art: Paint, sing, dance, drum—let your creativity flow.
  • Meditate (or meditate while gardening): Centre yourself with a quiet moment indoors or among your plants.
  • Buy some flowers: Brighten your mood and your space with fresh blooms.
  • Practice restorative yoga or stretching: Gently unwind your body and mind.
  • Bake something joyful: Enjoy the creative and rewarding process of baking.
  • Use Angel cards for guidance: Seek clarity and inspiration with a calm card-reading session.
  • Dance around the house: Turn up your favourite music and let go—dance like no one’s watching.
  • Watch a comedy: Laugh out loud with a funny movie or show.
  • Play board games or solve puzzles: Engage in fun, stimulating activities.
  • Try a new hobby: Explore creativity with knitting, pottery, or learning an instrument.
  • Enjoy outdoor play: Fly a kite, play frisbee, or picnic at the park.
  • Get crafty: Make handmade cards, decorations, or try scrapbooking.
  • Go on a nature scavenger hunt: Create a list of items to find on a walk for some outdoor fun.
  • Allow yourself to do nothing: Give yourself permission to rest and recharge without guilt.

Self-care is not selfish—it’s essential. By tending to your well-being, you’ll build the resilience and energy needed to fully embrace the changes you’re making in your coaching journey. Remember, you’re in control, steering toward a life of fulfilment.
